D’ak was destined early in life to be obsessed with the smell of blasting weapons and sounds of thundering explosions. You see, K’tal father of Krum and grandfather to D’ak was the Commander of the Empires Armory, design and building many of the weapon used by the great warriors of his time. From early childhood, D’ak was borrowing his fathers prized weapons to play with — dreaming of the day he too would become a great warrior.  As he grew up he would find weapons built by his grandfather, packed away with care by his father,  just waiting for the day that D’ak would ask for them, so he could add  them to his own collection. Krum would tell his son about the battles that were waged with these weapon with details so clear that D’ak could see them in his minds eye. As he listen he could see himself standing and battling  by his grandfathers side. He would listening to these stories told by his father, of his fathers glories battles and remember them, making them his own to tell to a new generation.

Be-it was the stories that he listen to over the years or the influence of the creations around him, D’ak has this burning desire to tell his own stories of honor and glory.  But he wants more from the stories than just the words told from person to person or son to son.  Like his father and his father before him, he has the ability to create something wonderful and unique.  His father a Master Builder, his Grandfather a Master Gunsmith, D’aks legacy is to be a Master Artist using his talent with pen and paper and the imagination that comes from going-up in the Urussig family to create a visual record of the stories of glory and honor to inspire warriors for generations to come.

For D’ak, joining the WidowMaker was in his blood,  he is his fathers son and the chance to join a newly commissioned ship with the combination of powerful weapons and the needed for a look and identity was just the adventure he was looking for to inspire his stories to tell his sons.
